Dr Rajendra Pachauri, the chair of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, flew 443,243 miles (713,330 kilometres) in a 19 month period while speaking about global warming.  What a hypocrite! "Come Fry with" says Mark Steyn.

Thumbs up, Eamon. Funny. And good point… The fastest way how to lower mankind’s carbon footprint is to… dissolve IPCC and cancel all climate change conferences. Once these pricks stop hurrying from A to B and from B to A, our CO2 emissons will go back down to preindustrial levels… almost.

Lucy Setian on 01st December 2009:

Well, our president got many critics about his trips too.

Federico Pistono on 01st December 2009:

I will have to agree with Eamonn on this one.

While some trips may be essential (I suppose 5-6 per year), most of them could be avoided by using skype.

Good point Eamonn.

Diego Casaes Silva on 01st December 2009:

Haha, that’s one of the most controversial points about climate change activists, actually. =)

Hemant Anant Jain on 01st December 2009:

True that Eammon!

Lara on 01st December 2009:

Too right Eamonn! Or should we give him the benefit of the doubt? Maybe he hasn’t heard of Skype!!

Federico Pistono on 01st December 2009:

Maybe he hasn’t heard of Skype!!

It’s possible. I can still remember Bush using “The Google” or United States Senator Ted Stevens (R-Alaska) calling the internet “a series of tubes

Video conferencing has its way to develop and go still!
