Bloggers launched the Internet Greenpeace

Published 23rd September 2009 - 12 comments - 9406 views -

90 bloggers (also journalists, non-journalists, and non-bloggers) showed up in Copenhagen to fight up with the climate change. Without any difficulties they became more friends then enemies before the bloody competition of life and death (nature is dying after all and us too as conclusion of course).

This seemed the nicest way to meet new people in the (non-) professional field, colleagues from the universities, graphomans, media pros, interested in new projects people.

So what about the eco? Maybe the eco-emotions did much about their conclusions as we understood from the topics of discussions, but the eco-vision of the Danish bicycle city opened a totally new way of thinking.

The common between them is the idea of a society, which is strong enough to change things. Despite of talking about climate change, pollution or reading a book on the beach, where the temperature has invisibly heighten up with round 1-2 degrees, they want to change the world, starting from Internet Greenpeace.

These people don`t need to be politicians to be heard. They speak with good reasons, explanations, believes and in most of the cases – without prizes.

Not all of the bloggers actually write a blog, but they do believe that no matter first or last place in any competition they will work for the society.

We don`t need to lobby about things, in which we believe. That makes all of us winners.

Well, it seems that the place, time and people were choosen fine, because this country already have a seriouse success in ecology and there could be found many examples of “clean energy sources”. The young people are planet future and their minds are the perfect field for growing of our future!

Great post, Lucy. And I still believe Th!nk2 is way better than Greenpeace because it is totally independent - no commercial companies standing behind, no shady finances.
Just ambitious young people concerned in changing the world to be a better place to live.
Go, guys!

This is such a great resource that you are providing and you give it away for free. I love seeing websites that understand the value of providing a quality resource for free. It’s the old what goes around comes around routine. Did you acquired lots of links and I see lots of trackbacks?

As a Texan I delight reading almost means we’re going to save money in the future by utilising alternative muscularity. I hope Texas continues to be at the forefront of the new-energy revolution, for the interest of the environment and saving.

I have traded options on ETFs, but I would rather find the best stock in the index and take a position in it. For liquidity reasons, institutions have to stick to the ETFs. We are all small, nimble traders and we need to use that to our advantage. Stick with stocks.
