A collection of COP15 & -16 Wikileak “cables”

Published 08th December 2010 - 5 comments - 1782 views -

The Wikileaks Gablegate has already been blogged about at this present site. Read: Climate Cablegate: Lowering Expectations at Copenhagen, WikiLeaks’ Julian Assange: Oz Hero or Villain and Climate Wikileaks: Van Rompuy Doesn’t Believe in "Multilateral Meetings". And probably a handful more. You might also want to listen to today's Democracy NOW!'s podcast: Cancun, Climate Change and WikiLeaks. Or just take a peek below where I put up a PDF containg (almost) all the original cables with COP15, COP16, UNFCCC and IPCC being mentioned.

Please note that I have updated this document several times - and most likely will update it again. If you have already seen it it has probably grown since then.

Cablegate COP15

Please go ahead and use the document for your own blogging purposes. And while I'm at it I'll remind you of two other leaked documents from COP15 which I shared at Scribd too - Yvo de Boer's email to colleagues re COP15 and the "Danish Text" that brought the negotiations to a stop halfway through.

Yvo de Boer to colleagues re COP15

Danish Text

Let us not let them lie to us too much.

Great work! We wait with interest for climate cables re Australia. It’s getting harder to keep up, esp with Cancun in full swing.

Thank you for posting this! We’ve all been waiting for something like this to come out and provide us some insight into how governments are going about with treating climate change.
Good work smile

Latest climate cablegate from Spiegel Online The US and China Joined Forces Against Europe about Copenhagen:

‘The dispatches reveal that the US and China, the world’s top two polluters, joined forces to stymie every attempt by European nations to reach agreement.’

Hmmm… “Error… Document deleted by user”? I assure you I have not deleted my own documents! Either Scribd has technical issues or they have deleted all my documents without any notice!

It’s a mystery. CIA? ASIO (Oz spooks)? Net gremlins?

SNAFU?
