Mark Notaras is a writer/editor for the United Nations University (UNU) Media Studio and a researcher for the UNU Institute for Sustainability and Peace (UNU-ISP). He holds a Masters in International Affairs (Peace and Conflict Studies) from the Australian National University. He previously managed the Australian Agency for International Development (AusAID) Vietnam Programme and co-founded the Australian Refugee Film Festival. He is passionate about addressing social and environmental injustices through international and interdisciplinary cooperation. He can be found growing, cooking and eating (and talking about) organic, local and seasonal food in his spare time.
