Zero-emission electric supercar car or a good CSR-making rickshaw?
The Quant is an electric supercar, which has schizophrenia. It is shaped as a traditional family sedan (because it is 4 seated), but still looks like a beast though and is extremely eco-friendly.
Its power comes by the energy from the sun. Fitted with a 512 hp engine, the vehicle delivers 0–100 km/h in 5.2 seconds, hitting a top speed of 275 km/h.
The car carries a thin layer of solar panels all over its body just like a little crazy green alien. They generate electricity to juice up the battery pack of the machine. The technology has been developed by Koenigsegg along with NLV Solar AG. They have built the super car using a technology called Flow Accumulator Energy Storage (FAES) and seems it needs to be charged for 15 minutes.
In rainy dark days the car can be recharged from a conventional wall outlet, which can juice up the batteries, powering both its electric motors in just 20 minutes. So, I suppose eco men in middle age can use it better in sunny days in front of the chicks, by showing how much they care about the climate issue from the front seat of their beast.
Once fully charged, the batteries
are enough for a distance of over 300 miles, which is extended by the built-in solar cells. The body weights only 3924 pounds than
ks to the carbon fiber and carbon/aluminum construction. With a regenerative braking system the batteries almost never run out of juice.
The Quant is done by Koenigsegg, a company based out of southern Sweden. It is well known for their sports cars and eco-friendly sports cars. Koenigsegg developed the technology for The Quant along with NLV Solar AG.
The low-cost choice, which you see on the other pictures, is extraordinary. You can`t see that often on the Balkans. You can find the family version of sport car compensation on better price in Bulgaria. What does that mean? Strange, that when I found the website of the company Margal, which sells (makes?) them, nobody answered my email. I wanted to know who buys these vehicles, despite of what`s written in their website, which says that “Tricycle are suitable for disabled persons”. As I see you can chose between Rickshaws, Cargo bicycles, Tricycles. If you wa
nt to order one of the cargo bicycles you need us much money, as for a not-that-bad-looking second hand car. Prices: 970 EURO / without VAT / without electric motor; 1420 EURO / without VAT / c El. Motor.

You can use them not only in the village, but in the big cities too. I am not sure who really buys such vehicles, but according to an adv published in the site, one of the Bulgarian mobile operators, Globul, has used them for a CSR campaign “To clean together” made with the WWF. Did they clean the 11 natural parks in the country? I don`t think so. At least they tried by RENTING few of these attractive tricycles. I am sure that Globule’s boss doesn`t drive to work with his own ricksh
aw…
Looking on, I found a happily (who knows?) wedding couple in one of those. And another PR campaign, this time of “Ice tea”. So, you can save
the planet and continue with the image-making strategies and business plans. Also there are some photos of seniors on the prom, who rented something with less horses as ordinary for their “special day”, which doesn`t happen every day here.
The choice is yours!
