Published 25th September 2009 - 1 comments - 398 views -

The Council has adopted a revised version of the Eco-design directive 2005/32/EC. Eco-design means the integration of environmental aspects into product design with the aim of improving the environmental performance of the product throughout its whole life cycle. The new directive extends the scope of the existing directive by covering in principle all energy-related products.

Such products are:

  • windows;
  • insulation materials;
  • water using products.
