Welcome to TH!NK2: Climate Change!

Published 20th September 2009 - 0 comments

Welcome TH!NKers!

The EJC TH!NK team has been working hard to prepare for your arrival. Now that you’re here, let’s get started!

This is a portal where you can share your stories and debate ideas about climate change. Everything about this issue is contentious—the question of its existence at all remains a hot topic. Whether you agree that global warming is man-made or not, the fact is people are talking about it all over the world.

TH!NK2 is a project that aims to encourage the discussion. We have 40 different countries represented on this platform and each perspective is as valuable as the next because the subject matter is equally important from Istanbul to Idaho.

The international angle of this project makes it totally unique. There are TH!NK bloggers armed with Flip Cameras all over the world, and there’s nothing that can’t be reported on—from the latest environmental study to the litter in your local park.

The personal side of this platform is also vital to its existence; we want to see the ways in which you are personally affected by the climate.

This particular combination of the personal and the international—is one that only a platform like this can achieve.

The TH!NK2 portal is also a place where you can have your say on what your country should do at COP15. Tell your national leaders what you think they can do to make a difference in Copenhagen and look forward to comments from officials!

This is the Editorial blog. Here you’ll find topic suggestions and project updates from your Editors. Though we may point out some interesting angles you can take in your stories, you are always free to write about whatever you wish.

In no time, the pulse from this portal will be palpable.

Good luck TH!NKers! This TED talk, featuring Environmental scientist David Keith, is sure to get your ideas flowing. Keith proposes a cheap, effective, shocking means to address climate change.
