TH!NK2: Climate Change is attending CitiesAlive!

From the 19-21 October, CitiesAlive in Toronto, Canada will bring together global best practices and leading edge developments in terms of policy, research and designs focused on green roofs, walls and other forms of green infrastructure as a global solution to climate change. CitiesAlive highlights how significant increases in urban vegetation in, around and within city buildings and communities can help reduce greenhouse gases, adapt to the worsening climate crises and secure a more sustainable and prosperous future.
The event features over 60 internationally renowned Speakers Presentations & Expert Roundtable Discussions in Green Roof Design, Policy, Research and emerging trends in green infrastructure including:
- Ignacio Espoz Babul from LatinGreen in Chile, on how Santiage de Chile Metro authorities are implementing Living Wall technology in an underground subway station to improve air quality, moderate temperature, absorb noise and enhance quality of experience for passengers.
- Dr. Tan Puay Yok, National Parks Board, Singapore on how the Skyrise Greenery initiative has changed the new additions to Singapore's skyline.
- Dusty Gedge, Director LivingRoofs.rg, London, on the first distinct green roof policy in the UK.
- Prof. Dr. Eun-Heui Lee from The Women University in Seoul Korea, speaking on the "Biotope Area Factor", a new law driving the expansion of green roofs as green area in Seoul.
- Francois LaSalle from ADIVET (Association des Toitures Vegetales) in France on outstanding green roof history in France.
