Born in São Paulo, in 1975, Deborah is an anthropologist and a fiction writer. She has been working in local sustainable development for over twelve years. Her literary début came in 2009, with the publishing of two books: Ressurgência Icamiaba and O Fervo da Terra, after having written many chronicles and poems for collective projects. She is active in the Brazilian cultural scene, having been the curator of the I Indigenous Poetics Literary Party at Casa das Rosas (SP, 2009). On the blogsphere, aside from having a personal blog, she writes for Global Voices and has a column at the e-maganize Oca das Letras.
